A Schengen visa is a short-term entry permit for a stay of less than 90 days within any period of 180 days.If your primary destination country is Finland, you have to apply for a visa at the Visa Application Centre marked by a Finnish mission, at a Finnish mission or at a Schengen state mission on behalf of Finland.

Processing Time
You are required to send in your application long before. You can submit an application not earlier than six (6) months prior to the visit start date. The processing of a visa application takes 15 days.
Types of Visit Visas
Single-entry visa
permits the holder to enter Finland only once
Double-entry visa
permitted to enter Finland twice
Multiple-entry visa
It is issued for multiple consecutive visits to the Schengen space. The sum of the stays cannot surpass the number of days indicated on the visa sticker, i.e., a maximum of 90 days in a 180-day period. A multiple-entry visa is valid for a maximum of five (5) years.
