Methods of Hair Transplants:

A hair transplant is a medical treatment that moves hair from one part of your body usually as (back of your head or chest) to an area with thin or no hair. It’s often used to treat baldness or hair loss in men and women but mostly in men.

There are Three main Types of Hair Transplant:

1. FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation)
This is one of the first modern techniques and also referred to as the strip method.
Procedure: A strip of scalp is taken out (typically from the back of the head), and individual follicular units are then removed from the strip under a microscope and planted in the balding regions.

Advantages
Increased graft yield in one session.
Generally cheaper than FUE.

Disadvantages
Gives a linear scar.
Longer recovery.

2. FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction)
A newer and less invasive technique.
Procedure: Single hair follicles are removed directly from the donor region usually the back or sides of the head with a small punch instrument and implanted into the recipient area.

Advantages:
No linear scar
Less pain and rapid healing

Disadvantages:
More time-consuming.
Slightly more expensive.
Shaving the donor area may be necessary.

3. DHI (Direct Hair Implantation)
An evolved form of FUE.
Procedure: Hair follicles are removed as with FUE but implanted using a specific tool known as a Choi implanter pen that provides more accuracy and no prior channel opening is required.

Advantages:
High accuracy, natural outcome.
Less scalp trauma.
Rapid healing and less bleeding

Disadvantages:
More Expansive
Needs experienced professionals.
