According to Martin Luther King “An injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”
An incident forced me to jot down my ideas and feelings. An observation again went through my eyes and mind which I would define as injustice. It was an interview going on for a part time job. I thinked and tried many times to avoid writing and speaking about this incident, however as rightly said by Thomas Jefferson that “ When tyranny becomes law, rebel becomes duty “. There were ten candidates and all waiting for their turns with faded faces and questioning eyes. Most among them were really competent and deserving for the post. They could not afford a no-job offer. At least seven of them have served there for the last many years but unfortunately there were just five seats this time. This situation puzzled the penal too. However, salute to the confidence, integrity and competency of the appointment mafia. They decided to set a new criterion. Their mutual consent was that how to select the five on the basis of beauty, wealth, approach and who would be more of their use. Unfortunately the two of the left over were those who served the department for three and seven years. Among the selected, one of the favorite is the type of nobility who is already serving the institution on a regular post and getting a salary, while this would be his second job for the dual salary within the same institute. A question arises that if one is left jobless despite the fact that s/he is competent and the other rewarded with two jobs isn’t injustice?
We and our society are ruined because of such injustices. The establishments have not only big powers but also big tummies if some thing is small with them, that is honesty. They cannot face and answer those who are in equal powers with them but those who have tiny tongues and low voices are crushed. Best positions are filled with high nepotism. Our society would remain as it is today if such injustices are continued. We must know how to speak for ourselves and a big question is that if these power holders are Muslims, how would they face their Creator on the day of judgement?
